In December 2017 the City of Pittsburgh, led by members of Pittsburgh City Council, approved a $2 million investment in early learning to provide grants to support high quality early learning across the city. This legislation underscores the importance of public investment in high quality early learning and showcases what innovation is possible by our elected leaders at the local level.
Commission Member Bill Isler published an Op Ed in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette lauding the City’s efforts and thanking the many community stakeholders who fought for this increased investment.
